ITEM SUMMARY:

Appoint two (2) Members to Pension Committee for one-year terms set to expire 12/31/17.

SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS OR CONCERNS:

These appointments are for the terms of Employee Participant (Connie Hendrix) and Retiree Participant (David Weldon), whose terms expired 12/31/16. Employee and Retiree Representatives are as required by Georgia Municipal Employees System (GMEBS) pension plan. There is no Commissioner liaison appointment to this committee. City Manager and City Attorney serve by authority of position. This committee meets the last Wednesday of the first month of each quarter at 8 a.m. at City Hall.

STAFF RECOMMENDATION:

Staff recommendation is to remain with the Connie Hendrix, who currently serves on the Pension Committee as Employee Participant and Benjamin Barlow as the Retiree Participant.
