ITEM SUMMARY:

Appoint two (2) members to the Griffin Housing Authority for five-year terms set to expire 12/31/21, and appoint a liaison Commissioner.




SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS OR CONCERNS:

These appointments are for the terms of Harvey Pilkenton and Gloria Pine, whose terms expired 12/31/16. The annual Commissioner liaison appointment was held by Commissioner Reid-Ward and expired 12/31/16. Members are appointed to five-year terms. Commission member and resident appointments are annual. This Authority meets the second Wednesday of each month at the Housing Authority Office, 518 Nine Oaks Drive.

STAFF RECOMMENDATION:

Housing Authority staff recommends that Gloria Pine be reappointed as the Resident Appointment to the Griffin Housing Authority Board. Harvey Pilkenton has submitted an application for reappointment, and that is the recommendation of the Housing Authority staff, as well.
