ITEM SUMMARY:

Consider approval to amend the City of Griffin's Fiscal Year 2016-2017 Operating and Capital Budget in the amount of $3,800,000.00 for 2016 Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax proceeds.  Chief Financial Officer Markus Schwab will address.


SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS OR CONCERNS:

A budget amendment is required to properly record funding sources and uses related to the 2016 SPLOST.

STAFF RECOMMENDATION:

Staff recommends approval.

FINANCIAL IMPACT:

The resolution and budget amendment appropriates $3,800,000.00 to revenue from SPLOST proceeds and $3,800,000.00 to expenditures:

  • $1,840,000.00 - Bond Payments
  • $   500,000.00 - Blight Abatement Program
  • $1,460,000.00 - Transportation Programs
