ITEM SUMMARY:

Consider approval of a contract between APD Solutions LLC, the City of Griffin, Spalding County and the Griffin Housing Authority to provide consultant services that will develop a Consolidated Housing Conditions Study and Housing Market Analysis Summary, and amend the budget accordingly. Toussaint Kirk, Director of Planning & Development Services will address.




SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS OR CONCERNS:

It has been almost 10 years since the original housing condition study was completed. This update will continue the City’s transition and evolution, and enable us to make informed decisions about the growth of our City.

 

Spalding County approved the contract at their December 5, 2016 Commissioners meeting. The Housing Authority approved the contract December 9, 2016 at their annual retreat.  



STAFF RECOMMENDATION:

Staff recommends Approval of the request.

FINANCIAL IMPACT:

The cost of the project is $43,830. The cost will be shared with the Griffin Housing Authority and Spalding County, totaling $14,610/each.
