ITEM SUMMARY:

Consider revised organizational charts for realignment of personnel in Municipal Court and transfer of personnel from Police Department to Municipal Court. City Manager Kenny Smith will address.  


SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS OR CONCERNS:

This reorganization follows recommendations of Efficiency Assessment of Municipal Court dated September 12, 2016, as well as initial noted recommendations in City Manager memo dated October 7, 2016. The Court personnel allotment adds 2 part-time baliffs and 2.5 Deputy Court Clerks to the Municipal Court and removes 1.5 Records Clerks from the Police Dept. Criminal Investigation Division.

Staff recommends approval

FINANCIAL IMPACT:

Financial impact noted in Budget Amendment as separate agenda item.
