Consider amended budget for Municipal Court for remainder of FY 17. City Manager Kenny Smith will address.

SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS OR CONCERNS:

This budget amendment updates expenses per recommendations of Efficiency Assessment of Municipal Court dated September 12, 2016, as well as initial noted recommendations in City Manager memo dated October 7, 2016. The Court budget increases $106,330 due to added personnel, contracts and supplies; the Police Department budget decreases $71,050 due to the transfer of some P.D. personnel to Court function. The net increase of $35,280 is taken from Police Dept. budget savings in personnel vacancies July - Sept 2016.

STAFF RECOMMENDATION:

Staff recommends approval.

FINANCIAL IMPACT:

No overall increase to FY 17 budget. Net increase of $35,280 in Court is taken from savings in P.D. budget due to personnel vacancies.
