ITEM SUMMARY:

Consider awarding the Asbestos Inspection bid to Anderson Environmental to provide asbestos testing services prior to demolition. Toussaint Kirk, Director of Planning & Development Services will address.




SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS OR CONCERNS:

The asbestos inspection contract is a (1) year contract with 4  (1) year renewable options. The previous contract was about to expire; therefore, prompting us to administer another RFP. This is essential to continuing the nuisance abatement program, since all properties are to be tested prior to demolition.   

 

The Airport Authority also plans to use Anderson Environmental to perform asbestos inspections.

 

 



STAFF RECOMMENDATION:

Staff recommends Approval of the request.

FINANCIAL IMPACT:

The cost to perform asbestos inspections is $250/structure.
