The Georgia Mayors Council for Public Power was formed to promote advocacy of issues important to MEAG Power and the participant communities it serves. MEAG Power relies on the Mayors' voice in Washington and the State Capitol to assure the future success of municipal electric systems in Georgia. It is an excellent opportunity meet/reconnect with others in the profession as well as MEAG Power staff members. This year's summit features a full roster of planned speakers that will be both informative and interesting. There will be a progress report on the expansion of Plant Vogtle United 3 and 4, and a Vogtle site tour will be offered.
Staff recommends approval.
