Municipal Court Clerk Yolanda Walker tendered her resignation and intention to retire after 27 years of service to the City. Per the City Charter, Sec 3.7, there shall be appointed by the Commission a Clerk of Municipal Court, who shall serve at the pleasure of the Commission. Deputy Clerk Melissa Brock has served as Deputy Clerk for approximately 4 years and has the ability and training to serve in an interim capacity until annual appointments in January 2017.
Staff recommends the appointment of Deputy Clerk Melissa Brock as Interim Court Clerk until annual appoinments in January 2017.
in accordance with City of Griffin Personnel Policy the compensation for Interim Clerk Melissa Brock would be $33,125.20 ($15.94 / hour). |
