Consider approval and award of bid to replace the HVAC system at One Griffin Center to Mallory and Evans Service Company, Inc. They are the only responsive bid for a total cost of $1,199,900.00. Central Services Director Phill Francis will address.

The current HVAC system is approximately 40 years old and is considered obsolete within the industry; additionally, service and replacement parts are not readily available. Existing cold water chiller type configuration will be replaced with a modern VRF (variable refrigerant flow) system that is considerably more energy efficient and serviceable.
Staff recommends approval
Funding for the project is being made available from a transfer approved in 2016 Budget year. Approved budgeted amount was $1,200,000. |
