ITEM SUMMARY:

Request approval for the acceptance of the Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) #2015-DJ-BX-0866 from the Department of Justice in the amount of $15,183.00 and amend the Budget accordingly. Chief Michael F. Yates will address.


SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS OR CONCERNS:

Upon City Commission approval and public review, as required by the 2015 Local JAG Program, the grant will be used for the purchase of in-car camera equipment for Police Department vehicles with the bid for such equipment and services awarded to Transcomm.



STAFF RECOMMENDATION:

Staff recommends approval.

FINANCIAL IMPACT:

There is no match required with the JAG grant and no impact to the city budget.
