ITEM SUMMARY:

Consider submitting S. 8th Street from Poplar Street to S. 9th Street to the Georgia Department of Transportation's LMIG program for the City of Griffin. Director of Public Works and Utilities  Brant D. Keller will address. 


SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS OR CONCERNS:

Project consists of milling S. 8th from Poplar Street to Crescent Street and resurfacing S.8th Street from Poplar Street to S. 9th. Also includes adjusting sewer manholes and water valves.

STAFF RECOMMENDATION:

Staff recommends approval.

FINANCIAL IMPACT:

City of Griffin's LMIG portion from the State Department of Transportation is $196,833.59. The City 30% match is $59,050.07 is being budgeted for in the PY2015-2016 budget. Project total is $255,883.66.
