AGENDA ITEM SUMMARY

Consider approval of a contract with NetPlanner Systems, Inc., the sole source provider for the upgrade of the City's fiber communications network, in the amount of $17,645.89. Electric Director Bill Bosch will address.

This installation and termination of 1,500 feet of fiber will provide increased capacity for upgraded service between One Griffin Center and Fire Station #1, Solid Waste and Central Services, the new Line Construction facility and the Cabin Creek wastewater treatment plant. NetPlanner was selected as the sole source for this project as they have installed much of the City's fiber and they are familiar with our network.

Staff recommends approval.

This project will be charged against the Electric Department's System Protection budget.
