AGENDA ITEM SUMMARY

Consider approval of a Resolution to submit the 2015 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) application for $500,000 to the Georgia Department of Community Affairs (DCA) to make public water and sewer infrastructure improvements in the Northeast Griffin low-income area (Zone 7 &8). Director of Planning and Development Services Toussaint Kirk will address.  

This area includes portions of Jefferson Street, Adams Street, Washington Street,  E. Tinsley, E. Quilly Street, E Central Avenue, E Broadway, N 2nd Street N. 3rd Street, N 4th Street and N 5th Street (See Map).   

The City of Griffin Public Works Department will commit $231,368 in cash and in-kind services in FY 16.
