ITEM SUMMARY:

Consider the approval of a professional services agreement with Governmental Enterprises for the recovery of state sales tax for the Public Works and Utilities Department. Director of Public Works and Utilities Brant D. Keller will address.


SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS OR CONCERNS:

Governmental Enterprises will review documents on construction projects for any Georgia Sales Tax paid on items in contract which can be returned to the City of Griffin.

STAFF RECOMMENDATION:

Staff recommends approval.

FINANCIAL IMPACT:

Governmental Enterprises will be compensated equal to 25% of actual amount of sales tax recovered. Estimated 50% of the compensation will be due  at filing with Georgia Department of Revenue and remaining 50% when sales tax refund is refunded to the City.
