This a budgeted F/Y15 expenditure and is required to be performed for the continued operation of this unit.
Although not the lowest bid, this vendor is the authorized Komatsu dealer and uses genuine factory replacement parts which have proven to be superior in quality than aftermarket parts that would be utilized by the other bidders.
Tractor & Equipment Company's bid was approx. $600.00 higher than the lowest bid and, given the opportunity to utilize original equipment parts, staff feels the higher cost insignificant.
