ITEM SUMMARY:

Appoint two (2) members to the Three Rivers Area Agency on Aging (AAA) Advisory Council. These are new appointments requested by the Three Rivers Regional Commission.

SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS OR CONCERNS:

The Three Rivers AAA Advisory Council has had several members resign recently and are in need of new council members. The Council meets quarterly in Senoia to encourage members of the Council on Aging to participate in advocacy events and senior activities. Members serve three-year terms on the Advisory Council and can be reappointed. Appointees do not have to be consumers of the council's services and do not have to be senior citizens, but should be interested in senior services and programs that will assist seniors and make recommendations to the AAA in order to provide the best programs and services to seniors of the Three Rivers region.
