ITEM SUMMARY:

Consider a timber sales agreement with Murdock Forest Management, Inc. for the procurement of timber harvesting at the Still Branch Regional Reservoir spray field for the Water and Wastewater Department of the Public Works and Utilities Department. Dr. Brant D. Keller will address.

SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS OR CONCERNS:

Agreement will allow Murdock Forest Management, Inc. to pursue the thinning of the timber. They will solicit numerous firms for pricing in return for 7% of the timber sales income.

STAFF RECOMMENDATION:

Staff recommends approval.

FINANCIAL IMPACT:

This agreement has no financial effect on budget. It will require a budget amendment once the firm is selected to thin the timber.
