AGENDA ITEM SUMMARY

Consider purchase of sixty (60) Digital Ally First Vu on-body cameras and VuVault Server Software, from Digital - Ally in the amount of $37,000.00 for the police department; and amend the budget accordingly.  Digital alley is the sole source provider to interface with the existing cameras in police vehicles. Police Chief Steve Heaton will address.   Approved

The on body cameras will be utilized by the uniformed patrol officers in conjunction with the current in-car camera system. The Server Software will support the cameras.

Staff recommends approval.

The purchase of the system will be funded through a $10,000.00 donation, $25,000.00 from the asset forfeiture account, and $2,000.00 from the police department technology budget.
