AGENDA ITEM SUMMARY
Request acceptance of a $10,000 dollar check donated by Waffle House to the Griffin Police Department for the purchase of an on body camera system for the police department. The purchase will include 60 on body cameras that will be worn by the officers. Pat Warner, Vice President of Culture and Jeff Wright, Director of Security for Waffle House, Inc. will present the check to Chief Steve Heaton. Approved

The purchase of the on body camera system will aid in the safety of the officers and citizens. Additionally, the recordings will provide evidence that can be used in cases made by the department.
Staff recommends approval.
The donation will be used in conjunction with asset forfeiture funds to pay for the on body camera system. |
