The airport’s approved FY 15 budget includes $269,000. FAA AIP grant monies to construct a fence around the current GS-Airfield. On 8 October, 2015 the FAA has approved the construction of a replacement airport for Griffin-Spalding County. All new AIP grant money will be used for the new airport.
