ITEM SUMMARY:

Consider for approval to amend the City of Griffin's Fiscal Year 2015 Operating and Capital Budget in the amount of $103,100 for the Downtown Development Authority (DDA) as per the September 4, 2014 request from the DDA, and approve the transfer of $3,000 to First National Bank c/o DDA Façade Grant account and use towards the façade grant program.  DDA Director, Kenwin Hayes will address.   Approved


SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS OR CONCERNS:

Funds will be used to purchase, redevelop, or renovate selected parcels throughout downtown Griffin. Appraisals and renovation estimates have been received for all subject properties.

STAFF RECOMMENDATION:

Staff recommends approval.

FINANCIAL IMPACT:

The resolution and amendment appropriates $103,100 towards capital outlay - infrastructure to purchase sites and buildings.  Cash balance as of August 31, 2014:
