This is a budgeted FY 14/15 expenditure and approval will permit replacement of damaged as well as fulfilling citizen requests for larger recycling container.
OTTO Environmental Systems has been the provider of the City of Griffin's recycling containers since the recycling program inception and currently have approx. 10,000 units in service. All collection vehicles lifting and dumping attachments on each vehicle are tooled for use on this particular cart design as well as OTTO already has the City hot stamp die manufactured to mark the carts without having to pay additional set up fees from other manufacturers, thus keeping all carts standardized. Attached supporting documents reflect a net savings of $8,200.00 budget vs. actual.
