The City and County Staffs have discussed with the G/S Transportation Committee the need for a joint Comprehensive Transportation Plan. The ARC encourages counties and their municipalities to develop joint, long range transportation plans. This agreement outlines each entities responsibilities related to the joint plan update. Spalding County Commission approved the agreement on August 18, 2014. The City attorney has approved the agreement as to form.
Staff recommneds approval.
Preliminary budget estimate is $312,500. ARC share is 80% - $250,000. Remaining share of $62,500 is to be split between City / County at $31,250 each. Work schedule states that consultant will be picked in November 2014. Invoices should not be expected until the latter part of FY15. The amendment reallocates funds to Transportation Planner - Professional Services from Streets Department - Operating Supplies. |
