Consider approval of bid and work contract to Crawford Grading and Pipeline, Inc., for the construction of Shoal Creek Stormwater Detention and Mitigation Pond in the amount of $322,882.23 for the Stormwater Department.  Director of Public Works & Utilities Dr. Brant D. Keller will address.   Approved


SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS OR CONCERNS:

This facility has been identified in the Watershed Implementation Plan (NPDES). It is a public private partnership between the City of Griffin and Grogan, LLC. The project includes a regional detention facility for stormwater runoff and a floatable collection (BMP) best management practice device to collect debris and pollutants from reaching Shoal Creek which confluences to the Flint River.

STAFF RECOMMENDATION:

Staff recommends approval.

FINANCIAL IMPACT:

Project is funded through the CWSRF 14-001 GEFA Loan Fund. The City of Griffin has a contractual agreement with Grogan, LLC to fund $250,000.00 dollars of the project and will be collected over the life of the 20 year loan. Cost of this phase of the project is $322,882.23. The loan value is $500,000.00
