Consider adoption of a resolution finalizing the award of $500,000.00 from the Clean Water State Revolving Fund Loan CWSRF 14-001 from the Georgia Environmental Finance Authority for the Stormwater Department of the Public Works and Utilities Department.   Dr. Brant D. Keller will address.   Approved


SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS OR CONCERNS:

The CWSRF has been approved the GEFA Board and the City of Griffin Board of Commissioner and now must be spread across the minutes in the form of a resolution and to be adopted. The Loan Project is for the regional detention and mitigation pond at the location of 18th Street and W. Solomon. It is a Public Private Partnership with Eternal Hope Hospice and is designed for stormwater detention in the upper part of basin as well as collect debris from going down stream to Rushton Mills. It is part of our Watershed Implementation Plans for NPDES.

STAFF RECOMMENDATION:

Staff recommends approval.

FINANCIAL IMPACT:

CWSRF 14-001Loan of $500,000.00 will be repaid with stormwater utility funds and the 50% repayment over 20 years from Grogan, LLC.
