Consider approval to submit for a Drinking Water State Revolving Fund Loan for the Flint River Pump Station Replacement in the amount of $3.1 million for the Water and Wastewater Department of the Public Works and Utilities Department.   Dr. Brant D. Keller will address.   Approved


SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS OR CONCERNS:

In May of 2014 the GEFA Board amended it rules and operating guidelines. The old loan was under the Georgia Fund. GEFA contacted the City of Griffin and advised the we could save approximately $875,000.00 over the life of the loan if we converted Potato Creek WWTP and FRPS to separate federally funded loans. PPCWWTP to be funded under CWSRF and FRPS to DWSRF loans. 3.1 million dollars will be submitted for the Flint River Pump Station under the Drinking Water State Revolving Fund.

STAFF RECOMMENDATION:

Staff recommends approval.

FINANCIAL IMPACT:

The replacement of Flint River Pump Station will be paid for as follows:

2.0 million dollars from Coweta Settlement

3.1 million dollars from DWSRF Loan
