SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS OR CONCERNS:

1. Monthly Probation supervisory fees assessed by the Court upon probationers shall be increased from $35.00 to $40.00 per month beginning with all new probationers and new cases on existing probationers.

2. JAG will pay jail fees of $2,100 per month (reduced from $2,700.00 per month)

3. JAG will no longer be responsible for compensating off-duty police personnel to enter the data on probation violation warrants into the GCIC system and will be the responsibility of the Griffin Police Department for warrant entry.

See Attachment of Judge Johnston's proposed amendment to contract

FINANCIAL IMPACT:

The jail fee reduction from $2,700 to $2,100 per month will result in a total of $7,200 over a 12 month period. Judge Johnston is increasing use of electronic monitoring devices to reduce daily jail census, reducing cost to the City at $35 per day, per prisoner to offset probation jail fee reduction.
