ITEM SUMMARY:

Consider an Intergovernmental Contract between Spalding County, the City of Griffin, the City of Orchard Hill and the City of Sunnyside, for Spalding County to call for a referendum for a one cent sales and use tax, and for the projects as outlined in the IGA and for authorization for the City of Griffin to issue general obligation bonds in connection with approved projects not to exceed $12,500,000.    Approved


SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS OR CONCERNS:

A renewal of the 1 cent SPLOST is estimated to raise $50,400,000 over 24 calendar quarters commencing no later than April 1, 2015. All agreed upon projects are listed on Exhibit A attached and made a part of the IGA.

STAFF RECOMMENDATION:

Satff recommends approval.
