Consider a Letter of Support for the Griffin Spalding Re-entry Demonstration Project  to the U.S. Department of Justice to recommend an award for a discretionary grant.  City Manager Kenny Smith will address.  Approved.


SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS OR CONCERNS:

The Spalding County Collaborative for Families and Children, Inc. is requesting this letter of support for the Re-entry Project in order to request grant funding from the U.S. DOJ.  This letter of recommendation supports their efforts and recommends the grant award to improve public safety and the quality of life by reducing recidivism in Griffin and Spalding County.

STAFF RECOMMENDATION:

Staff recommends approval.

None.
