ITEM SUMMARY:

Consider approval of bid and construction contract for the relocation of water lines on GDOT Project PROJECT NUMBER: NH000-0001-04(062), Spalding County, P.I. #332890 to Don Hall Construction, Inc. in the amount of $329,685.50, and amend the budget accordingly.  Public Works and Utilities Department Director Dr. Brant D. Keller will address.  Approved.


SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS OR CONCERNS:

This is the relocation of water on Carver Road and GA Hwy16.  After final design, it was determined sewer would not have to be relocated, just the water line.  Construction will commence in late June 2014 and terminate in September 2014.

STAFF RECOMMENDATION:

Staff recommends approval.

FINANCIAL IMPACT:

Budgeted FY2013-2014 CP2014-4440-4-10 $100,000.00 and CP2014-4340-4-4 $125,000.00 totaling $225,000.00.  For 2014-2015 budgeted $145,000.00 for a total of $370,000.00.  The amount of TOF is $329,685.50.
