AGENDA ITEM SUMMARY

Consider approval of Task Order Form for design update, permitting and construction management of the Potato Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant to Paragon Consulting Group, Inc. in the amount of $1,021,790.00 for the Water and Wastewater Department of Public Works and Utilities.  Public Works and Utilities Director Dr. Brant D. Keller will address.  Approved.

Project has 3 year scope of work consisting of updated design submittal for permitting to GAEPD and construction management for the expansion and upgrading of the Potato Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant from 2.0mgd to 3.0mgd plant.  Expansion is necessary for capacity to accommodate the flows in the basin more over the Lakes of Green Valley Industrial Park.  Upgrading is necessary to meet the new permit conditions as determined by GAEPD.  Project has been in the works since 2003.

The project is funded from 4.5 million dollars from the Griffin-Spalding Industrial development Authority, 2.0 million dollars from the Capital Cost Recovery Fee and 8.0 million dollars from Georgia One money loan from the Georgia Environmental Finance Authority totaling 14.5 million dollars.  Amount of this TOF is $1,021,790.00.
