ITEM SUMMARY:

Consider the adoption of the 2016 Griffin-Spalding Comprehensive Transportation Plan (CTP) Update as published by RS&H for the City of Griffin. Director of Public Works and Utilities Brant D. Keller will address.

SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS OR CONCERNS:

RS&H has completed the update of the 2016 Griffin-Spalding Transportation Plan Update. The adoption of the document must be spread across the minutes of a public meeting and then sent to the Atlanta Regional Commission. This plan is necessary to qualify to receive federal and state funding of our transportation projects in the TIP. The plan cannot be attached due to file size, but a hard copy will be available for review at the Commission meeting.

STAFF RECOMMENDATION:

Staff recommends approval.

FINANCIAL IMPACT:

Qualifies the City of Griffin for State and Federal Funding of transportation projects.
