AGENDA ITEM SUMMARY

Consider approval of the proposal from Engineered Restorations Inc., the lowest and most responsive bid for the replacement of all expansion joint seals and window glazing/sealing at One Griffin Center for a total of $109,850.00.  Central Services Director Phill Francis will address.

There are numerous leaks in the building, spanning all floors in different areas of the structure. This is due to the existing expansion joint sealer becoming too fatigued over the years, losing the ability to seal the pre-cast panels that construct the building. Along with removing and replacing existing sealer, all exterior windows require re-glazing to prevent the water leaks in offices that further deteriorate drywall and to prevent possible mold which can contribute to an unhealthy work environment.

Staff recommends approval.

$110,000 was approved and amended into the FY 16 budget for this project and will be rolled over to FY 17.
