ITEM SUMMARY:

Consider, on first reading, an ordinance amending the Code of Griffin, Georgia, at Sec. 6-53, to comply with the new statutory requirement for local governments issuing alcoholic beverages licenses to adopt, by ordinance or resolution, a policy and procedure to report disciplinary actions against licensees to the Department of Revenue within 45 days. City Attorney Drew Whalen will address.

SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS OR CONCERNS:

This procedure was mandated in a general law, enacted at the 2015 Session, to be effective January 1, 2017. The ordinance or resolution will be filed with the Department of Revenue.
