The 2016 Graduates of the Citizen's Fire Academy include: Mike Mitchell, Robin Mitchell, Bill Ball, Dianne Ball, Corey Pitts, Donna Gibson and Anne Cooper. The Citizens' Fire Academy is an eight-week program designed to educate and inform citizens about fire and emergency services in order to achieve a greater understanding of the inner workings of Griffin Fire Rescue. The Citizens' Fire Academy is educational in nature and intended to be informative as to Fire-Rescue functions and services; it is not intended to be considered training for participants as firefighters or assistants. It is the goal of the program to produce more safety conscious and informed citizens.
