Consider a Memorandum of Understanding between the City of Griffin, Spalding County Board of Commissioners, Griffin/Spalding Board of Education, and the UGA Partners for the period July 1, 2016 through June 30, 2017, agreeing to participate the Spalding County Archway Partnership. City Manager Kenny Smith will address.

This partnership was initially entered into in January 2015 with an expiration date of June 30, 2016. UGA considered Griffin/Spalding to be a "community of institutional significance" and the program has moved forward successfully. This MOU is for a full year, effective July 1, 2016 through June 30, 2017, and may be terminated by any party with 90 days advanced notice. Both Spalding County and the Board of Education will consider approval of the MOU following the City's May 10 consideration.
Staff recommends approval.
The Spalding County Partners are committed to funding the FY2017 program at a cost of $20,000 each for a fixed total fee of $60,000. This reflects no change from this year's program cost. | | | |
