ITEM SUMMARY:

Consider approving acceptance of a non-matching grant from the Central Georgia EMC Foundation in the amount of $1620.00 and amend the budget accordingly.   John Hamilton, Operations Officer for Griffin Fire & Rescue, will address.


SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS OR CONCERNS:

Proceeds from grant will purchase materials to teach three (3) advanced emergency medical courses to Griffin Fire-Rescue personnel. Grant is 100% with no matching required. Funds will be to teach Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Advanced Trauma Life Support, and Pediatric Advanced Life Support to Emergency Medical Technicians at Griffin Fire-Rescue.

STAFF RECOMMENDATION:

Staff recommends accepting grant.

FINANCIAL IMPACT:

Will Increase budget by $1620.00.  Increased expenditure will be funded in full by Central EMC -- to line item 3590-53-1400, Books and Periodicals, Fire Programs.
