The City of Griffin is applying for $300,000 in Community HOME Investment Program grant funds from the Department of Community Affairs to rehabilitate approximately 8 housing units within Census Tract 1607, Block Group 2 and Tract 1612, Block Groups 2 and 3.
The area includes homes located in the southwest Griffin Redevelopment Area as identified by the attached maps. The funds will benefit owner-occupied families located within the 50% or greater poverty census tracts. The funds will be available to those that meet DCAs criteria on a first come-first serve basis.
Staff recommends approval.
The City of Griffin Planning & Development Services Department will commit $6,000 in cash and $5,500 of in-kind services in FY17. |
