AGENDA ITEM SUMMARY

Consider approval of a Resolution to submit the 2016 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) application for $500,000 to the Georgia Department of Community Affairs (DCA) to make public water and sewer infrastructure improvements in the Meriwether Corridor (Zone 1- aka Springhill). Director of Planning and Development Services Toussaint Kirk will address.  

This area includes portions of Beck Street, Pimento Avenue, Westbrook Street, Scales Street, English Street and Booker Street (See Map).   

The City of Griffin Public Works Department will commit $291,448 in cash and in-kind services in FY16.
