ITEM SUMMARY:

The Griffin-Spalding Honor our KIA Committee to present Certificates of Appreciation to City Commissioners.          


SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS OR CONCERNS:

The G-S Honor our KIA Committee seeks to honor local heroes who died in battle in World War I, World War II, the Korean Conflict, Vietnam War and the War on Terror.  The Committee wishes to thank the City Commissioners for their help with this project during this past year when a total of twenty fallen local heroes were honored with oral histories, news stories, and plaques placed on downtown buildings. This project makes it possible for citizens to know not only how these heroes died, but how they lived, as well.
