ITEM SUMMARY:

Consider approval to purchase and install a 25kw generator from lowest bidder, Triple "B" Inc. for lift station #10 in the amount of $20,800.00 for the Water and Wastewater Department of the Public Works and Utilities Department. Director of Public Works and Utilities Brant D. Keller will address.


SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS OR CONCERNS:

Lift station #10  at 1145 Maddox Woods Drive has no back up power which is required by Georgia EPD. We plan to budget a unit each year until all lift stations have auxiliary backup power. Triple "B" Inc. represents the lowest and best price.

STAFF RECOMMENDATION:

Staff recommends approval.

FINANCIAL IMPACT:

Budgeted FY 2015-2016 CP2016-4336-9-10 in the amount $35,000.00 and the amount of this purchase and installation is $20,800.00.
