Recognize the winners of the 2015 6th Grade Model Water Tower Competition.

Joseph Johnson, Deputy Director of the Water and Wastewater Department of the Public Utilities Department, will address.




SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS OR CONCERNS:

Competition in 2015 was held in conjunction with the Griffin - Spalding County School System and the Georgia Association of Water Professionals. The students  were graded on design, ingenuity and interview presentation. They were required to design to hydraulic efficiency and structural integrity. These competitions are hosted throughout the State of Georgia to challenge students about their understanding of water systems and encourage them to consider water and wastewater as one of their opportunities for employment.
