ITEM SUMMARY:

Consider to approve a grant application package to the Georgia Transportation Infrastructure Bank (GTIB) for the North Hill Street Intersection #2 construction in the amount of $1,232,893.00 for the Public Works and Utilities Department. Deputy Director of Public Works Chris Walker will address. 


SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS OR CONCERNS:

A call for Grants has been issue by the Georgia Transportation Infrastructure Bank. These grants are competitive and will be scored accordingly.

STAFF RECOMMENDATION:

Staff recommends approval.

FINANCIAL IMPACT:

The estimated cost of Intersection #2 on the 2008 SPLOST is $1,541,116.00. The city is making application for $1,232,893.00 which is 80% of total cost and the balance 20% of $308,233.00 will come from 2008 SPLOST proceeds.
