Consider the sale of 2.727 mgs. total to the City of Buford (2.490 mgs) and Crisp County (.237 mgs). Both sales will start January 1, 2016 and end December 31, 2018, at which time parties will evaluate further needs. Electric Director Bill Bosch will address:


SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS OR CONCERNS:

Temporary sales of this nature are a way for Griffin Power to navigate the fluctuating cost of energy while managing our long position in energy.

STAFF RECOMMENDATION:

Staff recommends approval.

FINANCIAL IMPACT:

Total benefit to Griffin will be in the range of $750,000 per year of this contract, realized in our MEAG Bill.
