ITEM SUMMARY:

Consider the purchase of a Kohler 1600REOZMD generator for the Flint River Pump Station from Nixon Power Services Company in the amount of $312,800.00 for the Water and Wastewater Department of the Public Works and Utilities Department. Director of Public Works and Utilities Director Brant D. Keller will address.


SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS OR CONCERNS:

This is the backup generator for the Flint River Pump Station replacement. The City of Griffin purchased the unit separately in order to be eligible for tax exemption status on the unit. This is lowest and best bid.

STAFF RECOMMENDATION:

Staff recommends approval.

FINANCIAL IMPACT:

Budgeted in the GEFA Loan Project. The estimated project total is $7,775,000.00. The amount of this purchase is $312,800.00
