AGENDA ITEM SUMMARY

Consider approval to award the purchase of four (4) Ford F250s in the amount of $100,820.00 from Speedway Ford. Vehicles will be assigned to the following departments:

• General Fund - Animal Control (2 units in the amount of $20,801.00 each) and declare surplus unit 298, a 2004 Dodge Ram 1500 with 160,419 miles (VIN 1D7HA16N44J174068) and unit 293, a 2008 Dodge Ram 1500 with 100,189 miles (VIN 1D7HA16N88J193762);

• General Fund - Facilities Maintenance, in the amount of $25,080.00 and approve transfer of unit 180, a 2001 Ford F250 with 104,310 miles (VIN 1FTNW20LX1EC3767) to Solid Waste Residential Collection for continued service.

• Water-Distribution Division ($34,354.00) and declare surplus unit 898, a 2001 Dodge 2500 with 130,000 miles (VIN 3B6KC26201M558127).

Director of Central Services Phill Francis will address.

Vehicle purchases are scheduled as part of the City's Fleet Services lifecycle management program.

Staff recommends approval.

Fiscal year 2015-2016 Operating and Capital Budget includes appropriation for these F250s. Vehicle purchases affecting general fund will be scheduled throughout the year as cash flow allows.
