ITEM SUMMARY:

Consider approval to award the purchase of two Ford T150 Transport Vans in the amount of $58,848.00 ($29,991.00 and $28,857.00 respectively) to Speedway Ford for Solid Waste Utility inmate transportation needs at the Transfer Station and Landfill. Director of Central Services Phill Francis will address.


SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS OR CONCERNS:

Vans are required for inmate transport under the Inter-Governmental Agreement for Inmate Work Detail contract.  The two vans are a new requirement therefore no surplus to declare.

STAFF RECOMMENDATION:

Staff recommends approval.

FINANCIAL IMPACT:

Fiscal year 2015-2016 Operating and Capital Budget includes appropriation for two inmate transport vans.
