ITEM SUMMARY:

Consider approval of the FY 2015 - 16 Mass Water Meter Purchase with Delta Municipal Supply Company in the amount of $793,800.00 for the Water and Wastewater Department of the Public Works and Utilities Department. Director of Public Works and Utilities Department Brant D. Keller will address.


SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS OR CONCERNS:

Delta Municipal Supply Company is the Sole Distributor for Neptune's water meter in the State of Georgia. This is the City of Griffin's annual mass meter purchase. Deliveries of the meters are equally spread throughout the 12 month budget year at or about 350 a month. City meters have been completed. Currently have 8,165 county meters in the ground and remaining balance of 4,255 left in county system.

STAFF RECOMMENDATION:

Staff recommends approval.

 



FINANCIAL IMPACT:

Budgeted in FY2015-2016 account 505-4440-53-1120 in the amount of $798,000.00. Amount of this mass purchase is $793,800.00.
