Consider the approval of an agreement with the United States Geological Survey Division of the United State Department of Interior for Flow Gauges in the amount of $58,105.00 for the Water and Wastewater Departments of the Public Works and Utilities Department. Director of Public Works and Utilities Department Brant D. Keller will address.

SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS OR CONCERNS:

As a condition of our NPDES Permits and GA EPD Withdrawal Permits, the City of Griffin contracts with the USGS to monitor stream and river conditions on flow, rain and other associated river metrics. USGS contributes $ 12,905.00. Agreement runs from July 1, 2015 - June 30, 2016.

STAFF RECOMMENDATION:

Staff recommends approval.

FINANCIAL IMPACT:

Budgeted in FY2015-2016

PC WWTP - 505-4332-52-1300 - $ 14,000.00

SC WWTP - 505-4331-52-1300 - $14,000.00

HS WTP - 505-4431-52-1300 - $14,000.00

SB WTP - 505-4432-52-1300 - $28,000.00

Amount of this agreement is $58,105.00
